Over the course of two years, 好色先生TV鈥檚 Office of Information Technology (OIT) and the Student Empowerment and Success (SES) Office collected data through student surveys to understand their information and technology needs.
They learned students required an intuitive, centralized information hub. In response, the existing Experience dashboard underwent a major overhaul and relaunched as MyDelta on January 1, 2025.
This new, user-friendly platform provides students with a personalized, customizable experience, making it easier to find and access the tools and information they need. Even better, it鈥檚 also available in the palm of their hands through the MyDelta app!
鈥淭he teams involved received immediate positive feedback from students that loved the new mobile experience,鈥 shared Josh Berry, chief information officer of OIT. 鈥淲e tracked unique student logins for MyDelta and right away in January, these numbers skyrocketed in comparison with previous usage of the Experience app.鈥
MyDelta鈥檚 landing page features rearrangeable tiles or 鈥渃ards.鈥 Each card highlights different information from approaching deadlines and class schedules to cumulative GPA and enrolled program details. They may be positioned at the top of the dashboard for quick access, moved to the bottom if it鈥檚 used less frequently, or removed completely if they don鈥檛 use it at all. This action is easily undone as users have the power to add information cards not currently visible on their dashboard.
The icing on the heels of a successful launch came in April when all the teams involved were awarded the for best persona-driven experience. The award was accepted by Matt Groulx of OIT and Andy Straub of Admissions on behalf of all the amazing staff involved in the project.
Applying what they learned from launching MyDelta for students, Delta鈥檚 OIT and SES departments have shifted focus on the next phase of the project, which addresses staff and faculty needs. While employees already have access to their MyDelta accounts, updates are occurring throughout the year.
